Need a change after this dreary winter, Gateway?  Here are a few ideas courtesy of HGTV and The Apartment Guide to make your space just a little brighter for spring!

*Are your lamps in need of a makeover?  How about the clean, simple lines a bright colored linen lamp shade would create?

*Tangerine is the “it” color this season.  Try finding a new accent pillow or plush throw in tangerine to give your space a pop of color!

*If your dining room chairs have seen better days, don’t throw them away; recover them!  Try a bold pattern with metallic woven into the fabric.  I saw some beautiful Parsons chairs at Kirkland’s (at Castleton Mall)  the other day that scream spring!

*If you’ve got an old dresser that you are simply bored with, paint the drawers only; this will liven things up a bit (and make it look brand new!).

*Have a certain inspirational piece that you can’t get enough of?  Design around it!  Make it the focal part of your space and add things that compliment (without taking attention away from the piece!).

Happy Valentine’s Day, Gateway!  We hope you will enjoy spending time with the ones you love this special day!

There are a few items we wanted to pass along…

*Brrr…it looks like we are finally getting the winter that has been eluding us!  If you are tired of warming your car up in the morning, how about picking up a garage (it’s also great for storage!)?  We have two available immediately with one on notice, so please contact us ASAP for more information…they go quickly!

*If you are in need of additional storage (but do not need all of the space a garage offers), we do have two storage units available…they are 10′ x 5′ and are located at the end of select garage bays.  Rent on these are only $25 per month (it sure beats paying for a storage unit elsewhere!)!

*Know someone that is looking for a great new place to live??  Don’t forget we reward our residents for sending your friends and family our way!  When someone moves in that you referred, you will receive $100!  So start spreading the word, Gateway!

Love is in the air, Gateway!  We are always looking for new places and experiences to enjoy around Indy, so we thought we would look into some unique things to do this Valentine’s Day…

~How about a carriage ride around downtown?  What’s more romantic than that?!  We have a beautiful downtown so get out and enjoy it!  You can call Circle City Carriage for more details…

~Cirque de Soleil is here!  It will be at Conseco Feildhouse from February 11th through the 14th!  I won’t even begin trying to explain their latest show, but I am sure its amazing!

~Enjoy dinner and a show at the IRT downtown…is there anything more romantic than watching a production of “Romeo and Juliet” on Valentine’s Day (follow it up with a carriage ride!)?

~How about a simple walk along the canal with the one you love?  It’s free, simple, and very romantic.  Can’t beat it!

~Wine, wine, everywhere!  In case you were not aware, there is a plethora of wineries in and around Indianapolis, so it’s no surprise that many are offering some sort of Valentine’s Day special (for example, Chateau Thomas Winery is offering their “Incurable Romantic Dinner” on Saturday, February 11th.  You can visit their site for more events and details).

There is an abundance of unique and romantic activities to enjoy this Valentine’s Day around this great city of ours…so get out and take advantage!

If you’re like us, Gateway, you’ve already been downtown to enjoy  the many events that this year’s Super Bowl has brought to our great city!  With the game so close, the events are getting even bigger and better!  Here are a few that sound fun taking place over the next few days…

We’ve been hearing that the zipline is in extremely high demand so plan accordingly if this is something that you have to do while in Super Bowl Village.  Parking is available downtown as well as park and rides.  Visit the Indianapolis Super Bowl website for all things parking as well as a full list of all events happening over the next few days. 

We hope to see many of you downtown!  Enjoy the festivities but most importantly, STAY SAFE! 

Can you believe it, Gateway?  The Super Bowl is almost here!  The heart of downtown will be transformed into Super Bowl Village for a ten day celebration leading up to the Super Bowl (if you’ve been downtown recently, you’ve no doubt noticed all of the construction for the Village!). 

There are almost too many great events to count in the days leading up to the Super Bowl, but here are a few of the ones I found to be most interesting:

In case you weren’t aware, we do have additional storage closets available for rent (they are attached to the ends of select garage bays).  They are $25 per month for 10′ x 5′ of additional space.  Contact ASAP if you are interested as they will go fast!

As a reminder, we do have pet posts located around the community, so remember to be a good resident and clean up after your pet!  Your neighbors will thank you!
